Our Services

When booking PULSAR you will get a dynamic and lively three piece band with a great full sound and professional performance including Lead Male and Lead Female Vocals, Three Part Harmonies Lead Guitars, Bass Guitar and Keyboards.  Using the latest computerized digital equipment we program our drum and effects sounds for a full authentic production of each song.

Pulsar will perform a wide range of classic hits from the 60's to the present day - few bands are as versatile. All this delivered through a superb sound system complete with our own lighting rig.

Bookings are only considered confirmed when a signed booking form is returned.  The form can be found on our web site which you can fill in on-line by going to our Booking Form page. Cancellation fees apply - see cancellation fees below.

If required we can arrive early to set up before guests arrive - there may be an additional charge for this. If you have a specific song request for your first dance we will endeavor to play it if given plenty of notice before the event.

We can provide disco music in our breaks so the music flows continuously throughout the event.  If you have a specific CD we can play it for you.

Our PA can be made available for speeches or other artists by prior arrangement.  We are here at your convenience to help you plan your event and our wide experience is at your disposal  - just call.

Now with £10m public liability insurance
Most venues now require that visiting performing bands have adequate public liability insurance - without this the hotel, your guests and the band are not covered in the event any unforeseen accident.  We have cover of up to £10,000,000 public & products liability through Hencilla Canworth Ltd.  A copy of the certificate is available upon booking.

 Pricing
We have packages to suit most budgets and prices vary depending on certain criteria such as how many in the band, start and finish times number of sets required and distance to the venue.  For a quick quotation simply fill in our on line booking form and we'll get right back to you with a firm quotation. 

Technical Requirements 
Minimum space of 5mtrs wide x 3mtrs deep for is required. Minimum of two independent 13 amp mains power sockets must be provided.  Once equipment is set it can't be moved back.

Facilities / Venues   Where possible a room in which to change/ refresh and make up with shower & toilet facilities is required.  This doesn't mean the toilets !  Refreshments should be provided by the booker. The band should be provided with a meal or buffet snack/sandwiches.

 Outside venues (including Marquees) must provide complete storm cover, a raised platform for the band and equipment and BS approved power surge protection sockets. Surfaces for the band and equipment must be reasonably level and completely dry.

Due to the sensitive nature of our hi-tech equipment some of which is computerized we need advanced notice of venues with noise limiter systems which cut the power. 

Uninvited Guests   It is the bookers responsibility to ensure that no-one enters the stage area unless they are invited.  Due to the expensive and delicate nature of our equipment and for  safety reasons we will FIRMLY block uninvited guests attempting to get on to the stage area or trying to commandeer the microphones.

Capabilities    We have a 2500 Watt professional P A System,  a 500 Watt 3 speaker monitor system, 22 Channel Mixing Desk,  DC/MP3 Player, Tape Decks and 2 x  Minidisc Players. Our Back-line includes 1 Marshall 1/2 Stack and Fender Deluxe Combo and 1 x 150w Fender Bass Amps. Suitable power for most venues holding up to 600 people.  Equipment Weight approx. 1 Metric Tonne.  For larger events booker will be responsible for cost of additional equipment hire and transport.

In addition our lighting rig consists of 4 x 300w par cans , Twister  and NJD muliti-coloured lighting effects and  a fog machine.  At full tilt the P.A. system and lights can draw around 10Amps. 

Payment  We require full payment in cash on the night and reserve the right to ask for payment on arrival. 

Cancellation fees Following the signing of a contract, if the person or company booking or their representative cancels the booking, the following cancellation fees will apply: After Signing booking form = 10%   within one month = 50% of fee, within one week = 75% of fee,  less than one week = 100% of fee.

Terms of Performance Whilst we accept every booking as confirmed we can take no responsibility for any loss or damage either directly or indirectly as a result of our performance or non performance for any reason whatsoever and by booking us the person booking us, the venue and organisers agree to our terms of performance and indemnify us against any such losses.

Performance of Songs From time to time our song list may change without notice.  Due to the structure of our performance and equipment we cannot always perform on the spot requests.  We reserve the right to choose our songs and perform our songs in the order we choose.
